What I Do for the University of Oregon's Center on Human Development
The Center on Human Development, a branch within the University of Oregon's College of Education, hired me to write, direct, film, edit and produce a series of grant-funded video interviews. They tell the stories of the Community Advocacy Council, a coalition of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities dedicated to self-advocacy.
The grant-based work ended in March of my freshman year, but I stayed because I loved having the opportunity to tell real folks' stories with the equipment I'd been using to capture the made-up ones of my imagination since childhood.
