What I Do for the University of Oregon's Housing Department

In October of my sophomore year, the University of Oregon's Housing Department hired me to be the student videographer in a collaborative undergraduate workroom alongside a photographer, social media manager and outreach specialist.

By working to craft experience-based advertising for the university's Academic Residential Communities, I've learned almost as much about Oregon's undergraduates as I have about video storytelling, and I'm pleased to say that I've discovered a common thread connecting them both: details matter. If you don't feel like you're part of a community in the three minutes of its video's screen-time, how can you be expected to join it for a year and beyond?

Environmental Design ARC

In 2025, the University of Oregon's Placemakers Academic Residential Community underwent a total overhaul and became the Environmental Design ARC. My job was to introduce its new look and feel.

ARC Social Media Video - LatinX

I directed, filmed and edited these social media spots for University Housing's Instagram and Tik Tok pages once application season rolled around again. It was a fun challenge chasing the details in these--they gave me roughly 45 seconds and a skinny 1080 x 1920 px aspect ratio to do so.
